There is a white opossum under the old woman's house.
The woman is made mostly of teeth.
I pity the loss of her mummified dog.

Went to the bar with $20.
Gambled and doubled my money.
Then, several friends had me play their money.
Profit splitting.
Trust in Abby's karma.
Won for all of them.
Drank, ate, and still came home with
$15 more than what I left the house with.

Only been to Vegas twice. Both times I left town with more money than I got there with.
Once I left town $400.00 up. (my only expenses had been food and a Grateful Dead ticket)
The other time, I left town a few bucks up even after paying for a room at the Belagio, dining, and a Cirque du Soleil show. For two.
I'm sure that could never happen again, but it left me with an unrealistically great view of the place.

I went to Mohegan Sun a month ago for my 1 year anniversary. Wife sat down with $50 at the Blackjack tables, turned that into $100 an hour later. A few times she hit on 16 and won, scared the shit out of me! After that she handed the $100 to me and I turned that into $260 at the Hold 'Em tables an hour later. That paid for three very nice dinners with great drinks. I didn't want to play again after that, I was afraid I'd blow it.
I'm convinced the casino style Hold 'Em is a money loser for the casinos. Mohegan Sun only had 5 total tables in the both casinos and they were hidden pretty well in a back corner, and all of them had pretty low limits ($20 was the highest). I think they make most of the $ off of those little old ladies in wheelchairs that plug themselves into the slots, and maybe they get the rest off higher limit Blackjack and $ from shows. Two of my friends played Casino style Hold 'Em in Atlantic City and both walked away with double what they went in with too.
Mohegan Sun is a great casino, by the way. Very cool decor and layout. If there's any gamblers in here on the east coast I recommend it.

BlackJack is the game and 16 is a good place to stop if you have it.
My wife likes hold 'em but if I'm playing poker, I prefer 5 card jacks or better.
Our flight back stopped in Vegas for a transfer but it was running late and we had to run from one gate to the other. I was hoping we'd lay over but alas, it was not to be.

I'm off work early as I went in at 7 and tooka half day off.
We got some good news, in that the doctors are relaesing Elsie to go home. Like most good news, there is bad news as well, according to the doctors there is not much more that they can do for her. MY Victoria's view is she is going home for the last time. She will probably pass in the same room as her mother did some eight years ago. I guess there are worse places and circumstances in which to leave this world.
I've been working on the bike and have got a new chain on the rear, just changed the oil & filter, and adjusted the valves. I'm packing my CPAP and some clothes and I'll throw a couple homebrews n cit in the saddle bags. I expect to be back Sunday, I might get on a computer at Pop's.
Y'all take care and have a good weekend and be careful.
Yea, it seems a tad callous me taking off without my wife when she is taking care of her mom. However, we agreed I could go see my dad once a month (Since he is doing poorly) and I haven't been to see him in two months. I feel bad about going, but not bad enough to stay.

I'm at pops . He failed to tell me he fell down at the Wally land gas station and buggered himself seriously. He should have gone to the doctors. Not that they could do a lot, but his little finger has about 1/4 the tip torn off.
Good dinner, steak, baked potato, salad.
Found Steel Reserve 8.2% in 22oz cans for $1.09 a can in Hendersonville. I'm on my second.
Pops is asleep. His GF is on one computer and I'm on the other.
Bike ran good all the way down. It took me 5 hours to go 225 miles. The weather was cool but sunny and I enjoyed looking at the fall colors on HWY 176 through rural SC below Spartanberg.

I'm enjoying my first fall in 3 years. 30-odd months of uninterupted summer was far too much. It makes you kinda crazy after a while. You lose the ability to put events in sequential order.
Yep, I like this 'seasons' thing just fine.

Sausir survived his artificial cornea implant surgery on Wed. His eyepatch at Jackfest was for real.
We need some distraction. We're going to an Oktoberfest dance at the Nudie Club tonight.
The folks come up with some great "costumes" for these theme dances. Tyrolean hats, long blond braids, alpine boots and chaps cut short to look like buttless Lederhosen were the Mode o' day last year.
(Hope your Mom is doing better, Hissy. Moms are important).
I advise everyone to follow our example and get naked this weekend!
