Sixer's son might have fun with this:
Absinthe Truck Naah -- I want one with P&l'É, not some kind of Filterated Czeckerland Xit (no "e").

Topettes don't fetch much, I've noticed. Were they the styrofoam cups of their day? Or have repros hit the market?

Depends on the condition, and if the Bouchon is still there. (A lot of toppettes are calcium stained)
They were not just for Absinthe either.

That's very useful information; all of it news to me. Thanks.
I take it the bouchon is the stopper.
If a "dose" of absinthe is an ounce, I'm assuming each tier on a topette represents an ounce. What other drinks were dispensed by the ounce?
Of course, my frame of reference is the twentieth-century cocktail, measured in one-and-a-half-ounce jiggers.

Sounds like a ripoff. Why would I buy an absinthe claiming only 35mg / Ltr of t*jone when I could buy vile muck from other vendors with higher t-jone claims? Heck, even Butty claims 70mg. These guys aren't even competitive.

I got a good price for it, although a little bit less than I paid. I didn't think it would be right to come on here and try to sell xit. I was never really that fond of the glass anyhow. I was underwhelmed when I first opened the package and found that it was smaller and lighter than I pictured a Pontarlier would be, and I felt like I wasted my money. It's kinda dinky (no offense), as glasses go. Besides, I have other antique glasses (East glass, Choppes Yvonne, etc.) that I find more satisfying to drink from, being nice & heavy an' xit. Anyway, I think I'll just pick up a 6 pack of the Pontarlier repros from LdF after I get some $$$ flowin' in...

Being an antiques dealer ain't like having a real job.
Hopefully, you'll land one soon, and find an even better Pontarlier glass, to replace the old one.
