It was just a drunkard's dream or delusion. We have two bottle for free, finished one, might the second go with gentiane, might not.

Jul 8 2007, 02:46 PM
For a CO "absinthe", Lucid
is not that bad. It isn't anywhere
near the HG scene but for a
CO U.S. legal offering it
really is not that bad.
$60 a pop isn't grate but
I suspect that will come down
a bit when things mellow out
a little.
Crosby
Jul 8 2007, 02:56 PM
It's bad and, for $60, it's really bad.
Louchelooker
Jul 8 2007, 02:59 PM
For those of us without
the HG connection it isn't
a terrible alternative.
I'm just saying that $60,
plus stateside shipping,
and being legal here are
not bad ideas. It does not
compare to any HG I've had
but it isn't too bad of a CO
offering. IMHO.

I had 3 glasses of Lucid today, and I agree that it isn't bad as long as you don't push it past 3:1. Then I had a glass of Lagavulin and concluded the US legal absinthes have a LONG way to go before they can compete with something like that. $60 for a not bad but not especially good absinthe or $60 for a dangerously good Whisky? You do the math.
And $25 for a bottle of great Arak vs. who knows how much for a bottle of watered down Kubler is a victory for the Arak before I've even tasted the water down Kubler.

He should use it as label instead of that allegedly-absinthe painted lavis. It would boost the sales!
The reason for mansinth is still unknown if we assume he has recently bought 2 million USD house, collection of Nazi memorabilia, and Eva Braun's purse. Plus 2 African masks made from human skin and two human skeletons (Chinese girl and a handicapped 17th CE man with his wheelchair). He is not poor, then. And definitely, has a bad taste and seeks only cheap publicity.

Dead Manson would increase the sales of Mansinthe even further.
Unless, someone finds out he died of intoxication from the particular brand. The history would get reversed: Mansinthe does not make you kill others (like that absinthe Jean Lanfray sipped(guzzled?)) but kills you. Many MM fans and other freaks would fall for that hyping.
And the story of making money on dead famous people is not a novelty: Cami Tolouse Lautrec, Duplais Balance, Rasputin vodka, Yeltsin vodka,... even good olde Captain Henry Morgan fits the line perfectement.
