Well, we know that alcohol disrupts REM sleep,
so let's blame it on the valerian first.
We got some of that bunk valerian.
It doesn't even work for me.
Go get some high-quality Vs.

That's a Rightamundo on the alcohol.
While it may "help" you fall asleep, you won't sleep well or deeply enough.
There are all kinds of remedies for seeking sleep, but if you are actually bipolar it's not going to be that easy.
I'm sure Peeps' has a good grasp of the reality.

To her detriment,
dealing w/me.
As I've said, hazily,
if I don't drink, avoid
caffeine late in the day,
go to bed on a schedule,
I can still only put
together MAYBE 3 nights
decent sleep. Which
would be a lousy night for
most everyone else.
Then the turbo spins and
spins and spins again.

And if I do sleep well,
it's like I'm on thorazine
the next day.
I can't shake the dream
world.
