Funny, the first thing he asked for was absinthe.
No crying or anything. Good kid.
And he's now the lead singer in my new band. BONUS!

I picked up a bottle of Courvoisior VSOP on the way down to my dads yesterday (rode the Ironhead). I also brought some Squid.
We are going to have calamari this afternoon and I'll probably take a run to Newberry and pick up some salmon for dinner.

Courvoisior? You ladie's man! "I will probably begin with a very classy first line... something like: say, sweet thing, can I buy you a fish sandwich?"
I'm drinking reisling right this second. I haven't been able to touch alcohol since all the absinthe last Saturday.

I left the remainder of the bottle of Courvoisior and have switched to my pops Seagrams VO. Not bad wit a bit of water.
I ran out of beer and I finished the Ginsinthe blanche (worked pretty well with tonic and a twist of lime).
I don't know if I'll leave the VSOP here or take it home tomorrow to compare to the XO. I need to get a bottle of VS for comparison as well.
I'm only into this because of an impression that Hemingway might have drank it with coffee. Works for me any way.
The calamari turned out pretty well and pop and I had a great time reminesing times past in Spain.

Had a great time with Pops.
No rain except just south west of Asheville on 176. It took me near 5hrs to go 200 miles home, but it was a great ride up 76 to 56 to 176/25 through the twities in the Blue Ridge mountains to I26 just south of Asheville. I scraped the exhaust pipe on a right hand turn and hit the left foot peg on the following left hand turnaround.
Glad the wife wasn't with me or she would have squeezed my balz™ a bit too hard on that turn.
Pop loves to watch me leave on the Harley. He had an Indian Scout in the late 30s and a Harley WL 45 cid flathead just before WWII. He met my mom in Waycross GA riding it. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for HD.

I just spent 4 hours on the road with my Honda, another guy on his Kawasaki, and my buddy on a v-rod. The whole time all I could hear was the Harley.
I love the sound of the v-rod, even though I'm not impressed with the looks of it.

Le Gimp
Aug 6 2007, 04:21 AM
Prolly not a hardtail. The new suspension monoshock systems let the rear look like a hardtail but still have suspension.
If it were a true hardtail, the rear tyre would be further up in the wheel well.
Nice looking ride.
