So I was packing some Gentiane into a sample bottle to ship to a friend today. Had everything nicely packed, neck of the bottle was taped, pink tissue wrapping around it, bubble wrap around that etc....

As I'm taping up the box, I notice the smell of absinthe is getting stronger & stronger. Then, I notice the box is DAMP! Oh no! Rip the box (the only one I had too!) open & the ENTIRE sample has somehow drained out & soaked the wrapping.

So, what would you do? Right. I wrung the tissue over a glass & got a full measure of Gentiane. It was a little pink....louched just fine however, & is being sipped now as I type this.

Doesn't taste any different, either. (but I did lose about 2 doses in the process!)

I get mine here ... the store is local and the prices LOW! I picked up a 4oz glass bottle for 79 cents. You might also try some sealing wax around the cap for insurance.
