TheGreenOne
Well, xit that sounds good. Real good.
GreyBoy2
The show,
or me wetting myself?
TheGreenOne
Um... I'd rather not say.
G&C
Ha!
Louched Liver
I suddenly miss
working @ the
Bethlehem
Brew Works.
Crosby
It doesn't cross your mind every time you look out the window and realize where you are?
Stroller
Back from a 2 hour lobster hunt. Not much happening out past the breakwater tonight so I came back in to have a glass of Sierra Nevada Harvest Ale.

DrinkSlinger
We miss you working at the BBW.
BBW? That's funny.

As for tippin.
A couple glasses of Sandeman's 20yr Port after work.
A bottle of La fin du monde, Tres pistols... and maybe eating more beer.
GreyBoy2
I'm back from the after party.
Damn, I'm happy.
Kirk
I was drinking some commercial beer last night, I think it was Urquell or something like that, from czeckerland. I swear I got the exact same buzz as I did from the absinthe the night before, or better, the secondaries really got me off.
It felt good, I'm starting to like beer, long as it's not too bitter
G&C
I started this afternoon with a couple of lagers and proceeded to try a JMR Smoother Sweeter One.

Pretty nice for straight whiskey.

I then graduated to Aberlour A'Bunadh 60%.

I'm not sure if I should go for the Balvenie 17 next or just go for an absinthe.

I have also a sample of Lucite to try, but I figure why ruin a nice Saturday evening.
DrinkSlinger
I'm drinking fucking merlot.
Louched Liver
Lucite.
Ha!
Louched Liver
Yessirday
chugged a liter
of French roast
for b'fast, sold
an 08 Miata for
lunch, then filtered
Tallywhacker water
@ the homestead.
Louched Liver
The HellBitch and
the Lone Star
hogsmack were
screamin' for me,
though.
Louched Liver
Tonight I'm
Texas 2
Steppin'.

What a smoooooth
base!
Louched Liver
And 76%.

The 1st sip neato
was like puttin' a
ball o' molten
butter in my gob.
Louchelooker
Well, ain't it just grate to be
you?
I'm drinkin' Molson Ice and
lovin' every minute of the
Boston sports scene.
The Pats just won 52 to 7 and
the Sox are gonna win the WS
tonite. It's gonna be a good nite.
Molson Ice and maybe an
absinthe later on. Who knows.
Louchelooker
Bow down MoFo's.
NE is the sports
capital of the world
right now. It's a grate
time to be a NE sports
fan.
Louched Liver
As long as you
aren't near the
same telly.
Louched Liver
In the spirit of
today's contention-
Artisanale.
Le Gimp
Went up to the FILs today and spent three hours whacking on a died maple stump. It has to be dead for over 10 years, full of grubs and termites, and it is still a bitch to dig/chop/chainsaw out. I figure two or three more sessions and it will be gone.

I screwed up the chainsaw chain when I hit a rock.

The cut out section in the foreground is a root. There are several that size that I have to contend with.

MY Grandson Dalton helps pick up the chunks and puts them in the wheelbarrow to haul off.

IPB Image

A half stick of dynamite would probably do the job if it weren't for the nearby buildings.

I'm lubricating my back with a big glass of Kubler 53. Not bad for the price.
Louched Liver
Maple burns nice.
DrinkSlinger
What a grate day to sit on the couch and watch NE teams... too bad I had to work.

So, in celebration of the end of the day, a couple glasses of 20yr Port, some verte absinthe I had in a blue bottle (damned if I know what it is), and the remains of an older bottle of Kubler 53%... (blech it really tastes funky).
G&C
Balvenie 17 New Wood
Balvenie 21 Port Wood
Aberlour a'bunadh #19

DrinkSlinger
I've never liked any of the Balvenie's.... odd.

Moving on to Chillin'Ice™
Louched Liver
I was @ Glennfiddich
when I went to Scotland
years ago and they had
some minis of Cask Strength
and Double Wood.
At that time, I'd never even
heard of Balenvie in the
States.

I held onto them for their
novelty for quite some time,
then I got The Thirst.

I didn't like either of them
at all. Some odd flavor in
there that doesn't sit
well w/me.
G&C
I was sent a Scotch sampler by a very generous individual.

The 21 was nice, the 17 no so much.

I do like the A'Bunadh.
I also thought the JMR SSO was nice. Just can't find it in this State.
absinthist
Polish vodka from Szczytno and available only there, HG, btw. Plus, several xots of Beefeater, a bit topped off with coruiinder, butt nice.
absinthist
And now two drinks I have just invented: "Lebanese Alpine Gold" nad "Blood Transfusion", if quite syrupy.
Absomphe
Mmmmm Duchesse De Bourgogne Grand Cru, a morninng wake up call.

And now two drinks I have just invented: "Lebanese Alpine Gold"

I thought it was called Lebanese blond and didn't know it was a drink.
Bognoz
You're thinking of the old, crude
version. Before it was properly
polished.
absinthist
True dat. Check at my My Space, I have given pics and recipes.

Louchelooker
Jack on the rocks.

Maybe I'll slip in a glass of
the Glenrothes a little later.
GreyBoy2
Um, why wouldn't you?
Louchelooker
I said maybe.
Louchelooker
I just had a Reese's peanut
butter cup that tasted burnt.
Is that a problem or a sign?
DrinkSlinger
Eating beer.
G&C
I have been sampling the Scotch tonight.

Aberlour 12 Double Cask and a'bunadh.
Glenmorangie 12 Port wood.
&
Glenrothes '87.

I may cycle through them one more time.
absinthist
G&C makes me thirsty and ready to open my Speyside.

I have had today pear distillate, some ouzo, some CO absinthe, and mulled wine. The first and the last were really mind-blowin'.
DrinkSlinger
4 fingers of Oban, and a DF head raison d'etre.
TheGreenOne
A little Laphroaig 15 for me later.
absinthist
A little gentiane now.
G&C
A Jack Batemaster Gran Cru.

Mmmmmmmmm.

More Scotch later.
Off. Jack Batemaster
Izit okay then?
