Ticker's good, BP up but under control (the meds make my feet swell). Digestion's recovering too.

"She Who Must Be Obeyed" will inevitably have her way but not today or this week.
Louched Liver
Lucky her.
Kirk
That stuff rocks, great labels too.
Louched Liver
Agreed.
absinthist
I have given Barenjäger second chance. I was an optimist, unfortunately.

No more of that xit, it is too sweet, too alcohol-free, too one dimensional.
DrinkSlinger
Try regular jager and barenjager layered 50/50%...
absinthist
Will give it a try, Jager in comparison with Baren tastes betterer. Thanks, Dinky.
Bognoz
Some crap tastes betterer
than xit.

Grate.

Bognoz
Taste the xitnergy.
Louched Liver
Um, no.

Feel it...
absinthist
Embrace it...

Butt there is not such a drink in the world that cannot be improved. Everything more or less succesfully can be fixed, spiked, etc, etc.
Bognoz
Try suckin' it
throo a straw.

Straws are for xit
which sux.
Bognoz
Or is that, for
sux which xit?

'Copter on fire? Shot of Chartreuse verte, top off with Bacardi 151 or any other overproof, ignite, drink thru straw. Ya have invented it, Buggy?

Good stuff can be enjoyed thru straw as well. Take paper cup (25cl), fill with well-chilled vodka and drink thru straw. Fun guaranteed!
Bognoz
I'll bet you're a classy date,
Tits. Probably even offer your
wankin' hand a clean Dink.png
absinthist
Stop bettin' (ya ain't the Desert Dwarf Hobbitroll???), start tippin'.
Bognoz
I thought the sexual inyerendo
proved I have my goggles on.

GreyBoy2
I haven't had more than two drinks a night in weeks, many nights with nothing.
No I'm sick,
I'm feeling quite good lately.

Loogie's bringing me some euro absinthe this weekend,
I'm looking forward to it.
GreyBoy2
I have to work at the brewery tonight,
we have to make 6 batches of Pumpkin Ale
and filter 8 different beers.
I think there are also 6-8 beers to bottle too.

Should be a long night.
Louchelooker
He is?
GreyBoy2
Saturday is the 20th right?
TheGreenOne
Alesmith Speedway Stout.
Absomphe
Excellent xit, butt Bell's Expedition is mo' betterer.
TheGreenOne
Not for casual chugging.
jaded prol
Sipping on the LeP'tit blanche. Nice and almost flowery. Definitely one of the better COs.
absinthist
My pastis, I am liking the xit more and more, it has almost the silky profile and is so light.

Tomorrow Finlandia Cranberry Fusion-some friends pay as a visit due to my Mum's nameday, and our nextdoor neighbours just love that vodka, so we won't let them down, in fact, well-chilled, it is quite drinkable.

I will have Rougette now, have not had absinthe for a long time.
Louchelooker
We're drinkin'
coonts.
Louchelooker
That was Geyboy....
he's way more shittierer
than me right now.
Bognoz
slivovitz and hellbitch.
cant find the shift.
absinthist
Both shall be grate. Which slivovitz, Buggy?
Bognoz
a good one
butt far from grate.
absinthist
Good one means everything, post a pic or a label. If you want grate, I will send ya Łącka.
jaded prol
Navip Slivovitz rox.
Louched Liver
Boggy's buyin'
Buggy booze?

Louched Liver
Another Lounge
love child on the

Louched Liver
And it's gonna
be a xitty birth.
TheGreenOne

Yeah, me and Geyboy were drinkin'
coonts that day. We didn't get
around to posting a review so if you
would like to get a review of Boggy's
absinthe go to his myspace page
and read the blog.

I wish I could remember enough to post a thorough review,
but from my scant memory:

Nice color, floral but grassy aroma, this grassines carried over into the flavor, somewhat covering a nice, subtle absinthe. The base tasted very clean and smooth and the distillation herbs were well balanced, but obsured by what seemed like a heavy coloring touch.

It was not a sinkable absinthe, but was finished to the last drop.
Crosby
The Poles love putting grass in their hooch.

Thanks, Snitty. I have cut on the colouring in 2007 batch, but the fact that it was finished is grate to hear. What I would like to hear as well is: could you compare it with any of CO's you know or has it its own style?

Ahhh. Żubrówka! Will be makin' it soon.
Louched Liver
Commie grass fed
buffalo hootch?
absinthist
Sumthin' like that.

I have grass at home, it is highly aromatic, so is betterer to be used sparingly. CO's use 0.8g per litre and leave at 40% and sugar, I have tried twice, I take 0.5g per litre (as I said it is highly aromatic so no need to overdose it), leave at 57% (it was the original Żubrówka strength in the 70's) and do not add sugar.

GreyBoy2
Drinking coffee right now but very excited about tonight.
I'll be trying as many funky beers on this list as I possibly can.

Bring on the funk!
Duchesse De Bourgogne Grand Cru? HELL YEA!!!
Le Gimp
That's just disgusting!

{That I'm not going to be there.}

Great line up.

G&C
I'm taking solace in the fact I actually have some of those in my beer cooling container.

I'm crying because there are so many I don't.
Le Gimp
The only two sour beers I have are Rodenbach Grand Cru and Rodenbach Alexander.

Well, that plus a case of my own Grand Cru.

The only Orval I've ever tried was poorly traveled. I'd love to try it on tap some day.

The Lindemans Cuvée René Gueuze is pretty good in a bottle, and their peche' is pretty good on tap, although not very well developed.

Lots there I've never seen or tried.
GreyBoy2
Some of the US beers are one offs just for this show,
some are being imported just for this too.
I am wetting myself.
