Decent, but needs a year or two for the brett. character to develop.

Black Hook. Saving the good beer for later...
GreyBoy2
5-year old Saturnalia from Watch City Brewery,
damn fookin' good, dark fruit flavors and a long creamy finish,
no heat despite the 11.5% abv.
Sadly, only 12 bottles remain,
fortunately, I'll be at the party at which they will be opened.
absinthist
Tatra, if Tatra Mocne is much a betterer one.
elfnmagik
Hey Tits, been sippin' Black Boss lately.
Pretty good.
absinthist
Very small brewery, hence so good, they really pay attention to customers' demands. From Boss, I am recommendin' Diabelsko Mocne as well. In case of Baltic Porters, look for Hevelius Kaper, prolly under extinction, butt worth any price. PM me if you are looking for further Polish beers' recommendations.

G&C
Why not a public recommendation?
absinthist
Of course, you are right, G&C.

There you go:

Koźlak from Amber (bock)
Wojak Wszechmocne 9%
EB Speclal Pils, produced at the moment on very small scale, but interesting pilsener
Ciechan, unpasteurised
Kuntersztyn from Grudziądz
Belfast from Jabłonowo, dark and creamy, a bit strong
Jagiełło from micro-brewery in Pokrówka
Kiper Mocny, the best of all the strong beers sold in typical 0.33l bottles
Leżajsk Full, considered the best lager from Poland, available locally
Łańcut Podkarpackie 14, full-bodied malty character, very rare
Porter Łódzki, a bit sweeter than Porter Żywiec, both highly recommended
Okocim O.K. old-fashioned beer
Okocim Zagłoba
Nowy Zwierzyniec Pils, the best pilsener I know
Tyskie Książęce
Warka Strong, butt only those brewed before 2004
Strong 18 from Van Pur and Super Mocne 10% from the same brewery, rare ones
G&C
Thank you.
absinthist
Żywiec Porter sold in 500ml, not 330ml (different profile).
elfnmagik
Higland Cold Mountain.
Wong got it right.

And here I was drinking The Champagne....
Absomphe
John Courage Ceremonial Ale, The Royal Wedding 29th July 1981...a helluva lot tastier than that pukey marriage was...in surprisingly drinkable condition for swill over 26 years old that isn't a lambic.

Speaking of old beers, I have a couple bottles of 1989 Thomas Hardy ale and a King&Barnes Millennium Ale still in its wooden crate. I think the K&B was brewed in 1996.
I wonder if they might still be any good.
absinthist
Lithuanian Kvass, Bombardier Bitter, in the meantime (Friday I bet) Żywiec sold in 150cl beer mugs in Pizza Hut with Cheesy Bites.

If they were stored at a relatively consistent temperature, they should be, particularly the Thomas Hardy...hell, that one might almost be dry enough to be sublimely good by now.
balzdeep
Just for shits and giggles, could we include where these beers are brewed at (if out of the US, the country will do, we don't need city, street, and apt. numbers for those brewed in Poland).

I am still a huge fan of Boulevard beers in general (dry stout and wheat in particular), although a weird tast that took me a couple of beers to get used to last time I drank them.

For local beers Chocolate Stout from Breckenridge (only beer from them I will drink), Wynkoop's Chile Beer et. al. (and I am personally against chile beers, however this one is good), several of the Flying Dog brewery beers. Does anyone actually like Milk Stouts out there??

Just bought two bottles of that for $5.50 a bottle (LDF wasn't selling it, I guess...) Any good? Or xould I let tit age?
GreyBoy2
Let it age, no funk yet.

They only injected the brett. at bottling time so it's gonna take a while to develop.

Good to know™.

They musta hired Peter Shaft to do the marketing...

Lithuanian Kvass Duonosgira, brewed since 1665. See fer yerselves. Beats the hell out of "Bohatyrskyj" and "Rycerskyj" so far.

I'ma stinkin' that I'll 'prime the keg' tonight with the St. Bater 6 Nitro...
G&C
Good.

I'll be real hungry in a couple days.

It should be ready, yes?
Off. Jack Batemaster
Um, yes.
G&C
Gettin' hungry already.
Absomphe
That makes two of us, butt I'll just use my imagination.

Damnit, I'll bet it'll be a killer Leatherman.gif entree, too.

Last night: Cold Mountain, Foothills Total Eclipse, Youngs Double Chocolate, Delerium Tremens, and a Duvel.

Tried a small sample of the St. Bater Six...reminds me of Jade as it's suprisingly one-dimensional, butt not at all cloyingly obvious....

Set up the new fridge in the basement,
drilled out 3 holes and installed taps ,
plus a small hole in the side for the CO2 in line,
now I'm just waiting for the kegs to be conditioned
and ready to tap.
Have a Pilsner in the fridge lagering,
and a Welsh Bitter and Strong Brown Ale brewed with figs, plums and dates in kegs conditioning.
Bottled a Biere de Garde a couple weeks ago,
shoulda kegged it.
Louched Liver
I shoulda stayed
longer.
Le Gimp
I'm waiting on 15+ gallons of Ballantine IPA Clone™ to drop before kegging it and adding dry hops and oak chips.

Right now I don't like the hop profile, but it is hoppy.

I think I'll leave the garage door open tonight to drop the garage temp from 54 to 32 to convince the yeast to take a dirt nap. A couple days (and nights) of that and the beer ought to drop clear and be ready to keg. TG is too high (1.020), but nothing seems to drop it any further* so I'm declaring it done.

* Tried:
Rousing
Heating it to 72F
Repitching with EC1118
etc.

No go.

Last weekend, together with a friend we have tried two beer-cocktails: Turbo-Cola™ and Clara™, the latter wuz much, much betterer; the beer which we have used as a base was Faxe Black 10%.

And I have had that Weizenbier as well-it is fookin' tasty and has a louche:

G&C's Belgian Style Fuckup.

It was suppose to be a Belgian Style Dubbel but it's way too dark, thick and is pushing 9% abv, maybe a little more.

Real freakin' tasty and only 6 bottles left.
Louched Liver
Dark, thick and pushin'
an IQ of 89?

Sounds like you a'ight.
G&C
AT least 20 points higher than yours.
Louched Liver
What, weight?
Louched Liver
I'm gainin' lately.

Lotsa time to stuff
my ugly chip hole.
