No Country for Old Men.
Fuck, what a good movie.

It's actually 99% as good as the book, which is almost never achieved, and I think Cormac McCarthy is the best writer alive today.
When Josh Brolin asks "What is this Chigurh supposed to be, the ultimate bad-ass?", I'd have to say yes, yes he is the ultimate bad-ass.
And Tommy Lee Jones is damned near perfect as the Sheriff.
I wouldn't change one frame of that film.

I just got finished watching that flick.
Fantastic.
*** Spoiler Alert****
I did think Llewellyn's end was a smidge too vague, and Chigurh's car accident too predictable. Other than that I was 100% entranced.

The car accident
only because of
the previews.

Llewellyn's end was a bit vague. The book actually plays out what happens.
SPOILER---
He has several beers with that girl he sees by the pool, she tells him her life story, tries to hop in the sack with him, he refuses because he loves his wife, and sends her back to her room. Then the Mexicans find them and shoot them to bits.
I kind of like how the movie alludes to it though. He says something about drinking with women leading to trouble when he sees her by the pool, then the next thing you know, he's in the morgue.
Chigurh's car accident is exactly how it happens in the book. Predictable, yes, but it shows that he's just as subject to chance as his victims are. Had he let Moss's wife live, he wouldn't have been hit by that car.

** Spoiler *"**
Putting in a random accident was perfectly fine. The problem was in the director spoiling the surprise. The way the scene was shot gave it the stereotypical "... any second now he's going to get smashed by another car" feel; it telegraphed the whole thing.
I did however expect him to die in the accident. So at least his walk off into the sunset added a twist.
