Stopped by my favorite adult libations shop and, to my suprise; found 6 bottles of Lucid on the shelf. No Kubler's . Neither sold at my local Pubics(Publix). Not like a Tesco, yet.

So, got it here in Gatorland. Anywhere else in Florida? How about up there in Semen Hole-land?

For the record, haven't bought any. $74.99 + government's taste of the action.

Buy the $20 bottle of Arak instead...seriously.

LuXit™ is no longer such a bargain? I knew it. Arak is betterer and surprisingly much cheaper.

I'd rather drink Logan Fils - obscure quote from an unknown quoter

Thread title is funny, I'm making simbala with Lucid.
It's okay for cooking with.

That's a very expensive Pastis you're using for cooking...
jaded prol
Lucid, like Jade, is excellent for cooking. Betterer than for drinking.

Why not, it's nothin' but wimpy, watered- down a post-ban apology for real absinthe.

What about a'lancienne or d'antan? Ricard is out of question, it is just watered down beet xit with artificial badiane oil.

Made-up traditions -- like Czeckerlandsinth in that respect, though usually less horrid.

Um, yes. Paul Ricard invented pastis and that's what it's like. He used the Provençal word "pastis" that sounds like "pastiche" but actually means "mess".
absinthist
Thass right. There is also "pastaga" used.

The most informative;) site devoted to pastis:

http://www.pastis.org/
Off. Jack Batemaster
Is it ran by the Pastis Syndicate™?

It's more informative than any of the "Absinthe Organization" sites...

The abundance of information really is hard to digest. Pastis Syndicate™? New mafia on the horizon?
