Bidding for an LdF gift pack (UE68, 2 spoons, 2 glasses, wooden box) is currently up to $72.51. LdF sells it for a hundred bucks. Good deal, huh?

Except the ebay auction doesn't include the absinthe. Or even the wooden box unless the buyer pays extra for shipping. The seller actually includes a link to the LdF site to show people where they can buy the UE (or the whole gift pack).

Few hours left. I wonder if bidding will reach 3 digits.

What a bunch of maroons.

I'm thinking of putting my empty UE bottles up for auction. Somebody sold some empty Mari Mayans bottles last week for 20 or 30 bucks. The auction stated that you could still smell the green fairy in the bottle or some shit like that.

Well, if they bid on it they are too stupid to keep their money anyway. Might as well go to someone with a little initiative.

Take a cheap normal spoon and drill some holes in it and sell it with your empty bottle!!!!

Alright .... I was the high bidder at $30 on that one .... guess I should have read closer that the ab wasn't included. thinkerg.gif

I couldn't believe it's gone up that high! You can get the same glasses and spoons over at SC (albeit they say Pernod) for a lot less than $70 ... including shipping.

I had bid 15 or 20 bucks at one point but wasn't going any higher. The package from LdF (with the UE) is not a bad deal. I may get one of those with my next purchase.

That stuff looks like that lime punch we used to buy as kids.

Another empty on the block.
Lord Stanley
I wonder if they really are trying to sell empty bottles. Maybe the only way to sell full bottles is to say that they're empty on the auction page.

You'd have to be stupid to buy either way. Not much use for an empty bottle. If you're expecting a full one and receive an empty one, there'd be no recourse against the seller. I still need to get around to listing some empties and see what they might fetch.
