Wheat beers galore -- blue moon, hoegarrden?, sunshine wheat followed by two more moon's (the best of the bunch, surprising, guess it is fresh since made by Coors). Followed that with a few La Misery Verte's, getting better with the number drunk.

Had the Abbey Beer made by Blue Moon for the X-mas season a few weeks ago, not bad in itself either, especially for the availability and cost. However, not one to make statements beyond opinion in regards to that...

Too many microbrewers adding bourbon flavor to too many brews.

How about a few cab-franc, or Scotch barrel-aged beers like Fish, or Lees used to do.

Bourbon is too fookin' sweet, and overpowering to actually add any thing resembling subtle depth of flavor to a beer unless it's added only fractionally as in The Abyss from Descutes.
