US Military Reject Boeing for Airbus
US Aircraft manufacturers, Boeing say they are waiting for an explanation from the military on a recent decision to give a $40bn contract for in-flight refueling tankers to their European rivals Airbus before they appeal the decision in congress.

Commander of the US Air Force's Air Mobility Command, Gen Arthur J Lichte, defended the decision to opt for the European bid saying the design had numerous advantages for the military over Boeing's design.
