Got invited to do a trip to Normandy for D-Day, under much better circumstances than my Uncles did 64yrs ago. Flying into London and riding a borrowed motorsickle to meet some friends from Holland at Pegasus Bridge, then to some little town near Omaha Beach where they have rented a crash pad. I can't afford this shit, nor could I pass it up.

I'll be there for a week Mthulli, not sure how close to you I'll be. I'd hate to have to bring absinthe with me to France, anywhere to pick some up near there? If I knew what my address is gonna be, I'd arrange to have Luc ship some up to me. Hmmm, scheming now, writing it down here because I have a feeling my morning headache will drown out my thoughts. Should've stayed over at "Tippin' and Typin'".

When are you coming?
I could arrange something if I'm around, we could share some glasses on the beach.

That does sound like an awesome trip. One that I would not be able to afford but not pass up neither.

Arrived in the UK on Wednesday, in Hastings now using the library computer with the homeless folks. Leaving for Normandy in the morning. Never aranged to have a bottle shiped to Honfleur so unless the sell it at the 7-11 in Isigny, where we are staying, I'm SOL for the week.

You'll have your fill of Calvados, though.

Yup. Picked up a bottle in Bayeux, along with a bottle of the worst tastin' god-awful, green crap I ever had.

Home now, trying to adjust to RL and time zone.

Saw these in an antique store in a little village in the UK. I had absolutely no room in my luggage for them, and not sure if they are really cordons and reservoirs, or I might have picked up a couple.
