For those of you local to the Seattle area, there will be a feature on KING-TV news tonight. The news will be regarding the opening of our distillery in the Seattle area and also focusing on our upcoming absinthe production. I think it will be broadcast in the 5PM, 6PM and 11PM news times, it also may be seen from time-to-time on NWCN and KONG TV. For those of you interested and not local, they also said it might be on their web link for a couple of days. Hopefully I don't look and sound like to much of a nerd.
Bognoz
So, for the non-locals,
when the fuck does it open?
jaded prol
Good things require patience (and age).
Rimbaud
If it goes up on their site, will you post a link? I'd like to see it.
gasspectro
If they post a link, I'll most definitely post it. It's all part of my evil plan to become an Absinthe Ninja Warlord.

Soon, I hope. The paperwork has been complete for a while, the state has already inspected and the feds say my paperwork is in good order.
Masque
Just saw it. It was great! No reference to lighting it on fire, no tripping Balz™, they even pronounced the name correctly.

Online video now:

Le Gimp
Sincerest congratulations!

Not a bad video either. Except the mention of Van Gogh and the ear thing and that wasn't your doing.
DrinkSlinger
When should I sign over my life's savings?
Wild Bill Turkey
zactly.
While I'm happy about this announcement, it effectively means I'm now working for Marc.

Now. Just tell me where to send the bank fund wire transfer information...
Louchelooker
If you go to the Black Tide myspace page and watch the first video under their blog section at the very end is a cop chasing the kids that looks exactly like Gassy. Ha!

Good absinthe by Christmas! dance.gif
GreyBoy2
Sweet!

Congrats and good luck Gassy!
balzdeep
Damned, there goes all the Roman Wormwood:) Looks great, and glad for the publicity! And if everyone who buys a bottle mixes like that then sales should be THRU THE ROOF!! Best of luck to ya!
gasspectro
Here's a link to the Pacific Distillery blog.

It ain't much, but it has some good information about upcoming things.

The label is very nice nad I hear the product is marvellous, butt:

"ensuring Old World artistry and cratsmanship"

If "LICORICE ROOT" is mentioned, why "ORRIS" and "ANGELICA" are not specified then?

It is nuthin picky about me, more in the linguistic field.

Particularly I am happy that finally someone has seen the light in the tunnel as regards using GRAIN-the Base of the base, instead of burnt™ crap or other low quality ones. In that matter: Sincerest Tits' respect yelclap.gif
gasspectro
Wow, I don't know how I could have missed the spelling. Thanks.
TheGreenOne
The spelling was correct. 'cratsmanship is necessary for obtaining TTB approval.
Louchelooker
Ha! ( a very late Ha! but a Ha! none the less )
gasspectro
Well, tonight I'm drinking some of, what I hope to be, my final commercial test absinthe prototype. I sent the sample to an independent lab, and if it passes the dreaded "Thujone test" then it's off to the TTB for their testing protocols.
Flavorwise, it's pretty much what I've been HGing all along.
This weekend we begin the inaugural bottling our Voyager Gin.
DrinkSlinger
Can't wait.
Any idea on the pricing?
Crosby
If you have to ask,... blbl.gif
TheGreenOne
I'm looking forward to giving it a try.
gasspectro
Right now the targeted retail price of the gin is about $28 and the absinthe around $65
Kirk
Good luck holding it down.
How much of that do you get to keep?
G&C
The only answer to that is:

"Not enough."
Rimbaud
Great news, Marc!
Kirk
I'm guessing 10 bucks.
Absomphe
That would be generous, for this state.
gasspectro
That would be very generous.
Le Gimp
You will probably end up making $.38 per hour of work you put into it when it is all said and done on the first batch. Hopefully things will improve after that.

Income averaging the first three years is a good thing.

May God bless you and good luck.
G&C
No Absinthe yet, but the Gin is in the bottle!
