I'm talking the swill that tries to pass itself off as real absinthe. Y'know, the crap that tastes like shit but the marketers try to pass it off on dimwits as a "mixable" absinthe. Utter xit.
Mata Hari.
Tourment Verte.
Absente.

Marteau Verte Classique and Luxit cum to mind. I'm not even considering the German and Czech crap, onacuz everyone should know better by now.

St. George -- the worst so far.

I haven't tried the Mata Hari, et al. (and don't intend to). The Lucid is probably the worst I remember other than a Markus prototype. When it comes to full blown craptacular -- I'll leave that others.

Yeah, leaving off the Czeckerland range obvious drain-cleaner, and once you've already listed Tourment Verte and Mata Hari, etc, I'd vote for St, George as most sinkable product being touted as real absinthe.

I don't know, Mythe is more craptacular, methinks.

Leaving smack dab at the bottom of the crapper barrel
I cd offer the names of a host of xitswills
that mostly form the deadlier end of a deadly game
of downing shots with generous bikers,
but everyone here knows they're not real.
(And the view from the bottom
can be spectacublur, don't forget.)

Outsida that, I've bought things I won't
buy again, but I cain't think of any
that were unredeemable xite,

Lion prototype was to die for
and I'll never try that release.

Only way to avoid the craptacular
is to embrace what's been proven.

The worst was when someone offered me a glass of industrial tasting Czeckerland Filterated Czeckerland Xit called Green Tree, the crap tasted like chemical waste.
