"The James Bond martini appears in his very first book (by Ian Fleming), Casino Royale. In chapter 7, we read:
'A dry martini,' he said. 'One. In a deep champagne goblet.'
'Oui, monsieur.'
'Just a moment. Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon-peel. Got it?'"

Women have been well known gin drinkers for centuries. The passage of the Gin Laws in the early 18th century were primarily aimed at women drunks and gin sellers, and how they were corrupting the next generation.

Gin Fizz anyone?

They certainly do.
I was surprised that's where it comes
from.
I'll see about the Plymouth, they may
be able to order it.
I can have Festus snoop around Jersey
and see if it's over there.

I recently had the Plymouth gin... although it looked different, so perhaps it was a different style. It was... ok. For almost $30 a bottle, I won't buy it again though. Nothing unusual. Not particularly tasty. Just gin.

Damn Pennsylvanians don't know how to sell it though (state run stores). They do have a new deal where you can order shit to your local store, on-line.

Of course you do -- you make the majority of men (
inter alia, sloppy web site designers and gramatically challenged individuals) look dumb: that's Evil, at least to those of the "Tais-toi et sois belle" school.
We aren't falling for your evil ploys either, like misspelling "definitely" in an attempt to appear Normal instead of Evil.
Feh -- you probably
studied. I
knew we should've forbidden female education just like the Taliban -- "Kinder, Kirche, Küche"!

Miss Liqour-Lovely illustration. It sums up the evils of gin quite nicely.
My mother drank gin.And vodka. That is why I cannot stand them to this day.
She has not had an alcoholic beverage in many years, but has converted to expensive bottled water and juice.
One is called Green Juice. It is made from freshly squeezed vegetables, and is a natural green color. If any of you have seen it you may be happier with the chemical-green color of La Fee.

I for one, have never found the appeal of gin and tonic. I always keep some on hand for friends, but it'll be a bleak day in DG's house when that's what he's drinking.
