was nursing a bad hangover yesterday.

was planning on doing it again last night, but decided it might be a waste of booze, since i would have to drink more than the night before to feel as good (that happen to anybody else - takes longer to get drunk when you're hungover?)

so me and the old lady had mimosas(trying to mask the shitty champagne) from 11:30-12:30 and then crashed.

didn't feel much like being online yesterday(or much out of bed anyways), so i just checked my last few posts to see if i was online the night before last.......luckily for you people i must not have gone online in my extreme drunken state. christ i haven't been that bad in ages.....

New years here and... SNOW! Wow! I can't believe it. It hasn't snowed here in 4 years or somethin. So today is a good day. Couple o shots of vodka in a tall glass of hot water after a day of trompin through the snow should take care of the winter nips. Then some scotch.

I've been brewing beer all day. It is a good way to start the year.

12 gallons of October Howl (medium dark ale) and 5 gallons of mild.

I've been floating in front of the TV watching all of Shogun.

Just after I typed that, the phone rang. I wish I hadn't had to answer the phone on my first evening off in a month.

It was off to work.

Every day brings a new bomb to diffuse.

I woke up at Noon. The girlfriend had taken down the Christmas tree, the lights, the candles, done the dishes. In other words, made me look pretty bad. I took here out to lunch at a favorite joint of ours. I then watched UofM totally let me down against a clearly superior USC in the Rose Bowl.

Gotta to something nice for the girlie this weekend, cause I'm gonna be in New Orleans all next week.

Rimmy, good call! I had been thinking/meaning to, except since I'll be working the whole time, it makes it tough for me to nail down a time to pay a visit and say hi.

Maybe I'll toss him an e-mail and get his number. . .

My GF has been off from work for the last two weeks, so we's been hangin' out a lot. I'll be back full on next week...
