Here's a short blurb about AbsintheAuthentiques #27.

#27 is a departure from the previous batches (flavor wise). It's probably the most classic tasting absinthe I've had from the moon.

#27 has the metallic tang and the citrusy flavor profile typical of the moonman, but this time it's also bit more anise/fennel heavy. It's a heartier absinthe, with a nice dimension added by the base alcohol. A cleaner, better balanced version of the currrent P68% commercial.

On a side note, I shared a glass of this absinthe with a female friend who had never tasted (much less heard of) absinthe. She claimed to enjoy it, and has mentioned returning for another. Thanks Moonie for giving me a whole new angle.

I liked #27 too it's a bit too floral, but over all it's better than just about any commercial I've tried

Green Waterworks #4

Straight. Some very slight herbal notes, and the presence of some type of grape alcohol. A very faint hint O' tails.

Color is a very light green, and it's crystal clear

Good louche. Nice milky opalescent green.

Tasted at 4.5:1

Fairly well balanced. Anise, fennel, melissa. Very little wormwood flavor.

A bit hot/spicy from anethol, but not overpowering. A hint of bitterness floats across the palate (most likely due to empyreuma). Then there's some mint at the end, and a lingering anise taste. The overall taste is very light, as should be expected from early batches from a novice Cooker. The best part about this batch is that it shows promise. It's obvious the process is well done, a few more batches and GW will be righteous.

Pretty fooking good for a #4.

I'll take another when you hit #10. yes1.gif

I did notice a really nice wormwood scent and taste in this batch. Moonie must be getting some great WW! post-6-1068006358.gif

I was lucky enough to get a sample of the Green Waterworks #2, and I was really supprised at how good it was for a second batch. I'd say this Cooker is showing some real future potential.
Louched Liver
Ditto.
As I said earlier, all the early batches
I've gotten as Mayor's Shares has been
surprisingly good. That's due to the sharing
of cooking skills between the Cooks these
days. It's a nice, supportive environment.
absinthoman
True!!!!

What's this "HG" stuff that you all are talking about? Does it have something to do with absinthe?
Crosby
I don't think it does, but who knows. post-6-1069831687.gif

That's a bold statement. I'm sure there are many, many, many HG's you haven't tried.

I'm quite sure that no one at this Lounge has tasted ALL HG's.

Never heard of the Green Waterworks, but that's a great label!

What's this "HG" stuff that you all are talking about?...

Atomic weight: 200.59
Atomic number: 80

Common name: Mercury

This stuff is very toxic. Whatever you do, do not ingest it, even though some may say it makes you trip Balz™.

I thought so. Yet another reason to go to LCLF.
