(I am on the mailing list of the Dolomites, this great gypsy sounding band..Doc, I played a couple tunes for you when you were at the crib)
An Event Not to Be Missed!!!
Golden Festival is the largest annual Eastern European Music event in NYC!
FRIDAY Jan. 16, (3 bands, one venue) at Hungarian House
SATURDAY Jan. 17, 6pm- 3am (three venues, 36 groups!) at Good Shepherd
School
Last year I went listening, dancing, and loving it.

6:15-6:45pm - Romashka! Come here the debut of my new Romanian&Russian
Gypsy Band.
With Fire Breathing Accordion- *** still waiting for the okay, Great White
has surely made a great impact with their careless idiot tendencies.
12:05am - Rythmutation: Musical and dance improvisation on Middle Eastern
themes.

I'll try to check it out (back on topic, I mean). It's a little expensive for my normal music-seeing activities, but if you say it's good I'm willing to believe you. And it is rather large....

but i haven't heard that band.
the band of his that i like is The Dolomites.
i was going to give you their link on mp3.com so you could check out a couple of tunes, but it looks like mp3.com is down.
