If you can get comedy central, check out the new South Park tonight. Total anime spoof! Too damn funny!

NINJA SCROLL

Phuck YEAH, Ninja Scroll!

Here's another:
Urotsikodoji: Legend of the Overfiend

An ultra-violent, Hentai (read: Porn) Anime, but a classic nonetheless.

Another interesting one is called Colorful. It's classified as Ecchi Anime (parody, sexually suggestive themes) and is a 16-part series of 5-to-10 minute episodes. Really bizarre stuff. Get bent and watch a few episodes. Then ask youreslf, "What the fuck did I just watch?"
CelticGent
no

...or not.
Rimbaud
not
Fluffy G
The new Ghost in the Shell has been released! It's a 26 episode TV series?! I'm kinda disapointed that it's not a feature film, but oh well. For a TV series, it kicks ass so far. The show starts off just before the events in the old movie. Should be interesting to see where it goes.

CelticGent
anime still fucking sucks.
Wanderlust Fraggle
Hack//Sign is a decent anime series and is on my Top-Ten list. I haven't watched it in a while, but the story was decent from what I can remember. The preceding shorts that come with the PS2 games are also interesting. If you'd like a summary though, here’s a TV-Guide style plot summary for you. A young man becomes unable to log out of an online game, leading him and others to question rumors that the game is something more then it seems; and the young man to question his own existence.

Serial Experiments: Lain remains on the top of the list followed by Narruto and then Street Fighter. I have an extensive list of anime, as I like almost all of it, so I I'll make a brief roll-call excluding those already mentioned.

Last Exile; Vandread; Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi; Kino's Journey; Ghost in the Shell:SOE and feature film; Princess Mononoke; Outlaw Star; Trigun; Cowboy Bebop; Ninja Scroll feature film; Witch Hunter Robin; Rurouni Kenshin(TV and Films--the features are indeed more captivating).

I’ll end the list their, but I like many others and usually watch the ones that suit my mood when I get home from work.

I have not yet watched Neon Genesis, but a friend of mine has it and will let me borrow it when he comes back in a few months.
Absomphe
It's sucking worse with every post.
greeneyes
Fluffy and I are Lain fans, too, Lusty. Does anyone have any idea how many episodes there are, BTW?
Rimbaud
Although I don't necessarily hate anime, there are many things which I like better. Half sour pickles, for instance. Or funny hats.
Fluffy G
I think there is something like 13 episodes of Lain.
DaRabbit
Forget not the Venus Wars, nor Blood: The Last Vampire.

And fuck English dubs! Fuck them till they bleeeed!

indeed!

although, back to the topic of evangelion, that was one of the only instances where i wasn't utterly disappointed and put off by the dub. lain too, come to think of it. same company handling the two i believe.

i used to talk about evangelion with one of my philosophy professors who was from japan. she told me it was such a huge phenomenon there that they even taught courses revolving around the series in universities and regularly held conferences and talks. my brother has a japanese newsweek with eva as the cover story... actually, he's a bit of an eva freak. has most of the walls and shelves in his room covered and spilling over with eva memorabilia. posters, action figures, statues, a framed puzzle, calendars, plush toys, etc.

eva and lain are two of my fave series. i also dug urotsukidoji. ninja scroll, ghost in the shell, akira, etc etc etc... i'm also a fan of the likes of hayazaki's work...

seen fist of the north star? now that's some funny over the top xit. and i even have a place in my liking for xit like vampire princess miyu, et al.

Goemon the videogame?

Thats as authentic as it gets for oldschool japanese culture.
Nepenthes
No, silly. Goemon from Lupin the 3rd. Much more old school!
Fluffy G
Has anyone seen the new Ghost in the Shell movie yet? I'm probably gonna see it this friday.
CelticGent
no, anime still sucks ass.

and not in that cool, "pass me the jelly" type of way.
Fluffy G
Really? I'd have figured that you'd be the first to see it. I mean come on, who can pass up on a lucious ass. bondage.sml
CelticGent
real ones, yeah.

masturbating to cartoons is sad.

unless you're talking about the jetsons. that shit is hot. i'd love to have a celty sammich with the mother and daughter. yep.
Fluffy G

CelticGent

Off. Jack Batemaster
Whose cock? Peeps?
Absinthe_1900
Those Japanese cartoons are Liberace style gay.

Now Dirty Duck,.....there was a cartoon character. yelclap.gif
Nepenthes
I vote for Cheech Wizard. Now there is a cartoon character that really kicks ass... or Balz in this case.
Absinthe_1900
My favorite Cheech Wizard was the one when his assistant hired the Oriental assassin to to kill the Cheech Wizard.

This huge kung fu expert is chopping through trees on his way to cut down the Cheech Wizard,...... then he jumps in the air with a karate yell, The Cheech Wizard spins around, and blows the kung fu guy apart with a sawed off shot gun.

The last panel had The Cheech Wizard standing over this shredded, smoking corpse, with the caption, "Welcome To Da West Gooko".

Vaughn Bode was great. smoke_black.gif
TheGreenOne
Cheech Wizard does not merely kicks ass, he's the Cartoon Messiah. post-6-1068006358.gif
CelticGent
um, he was a bisexual crossdresser that was born 50 miles from me. what's not to like?

cool shit.
Absomphe
Jeebus, Cheech Wizard, Rick James, and Wendy O Williams, all from WEstern N.Y.

What a neighborhood!
Nepenthes
What's not to like? The fucker is dead!

I have had the honor of working with the estate and Vaughn's son for more then 10 years. If anyone cares you can see what I have done at my web site.
greeneyes
Fine, CG.

Fine, CG.

i was talking about smiley_acbk.gif 's cock.
Nepenthes
Yeah, I did all of the scupting and mold making. I haven't done anything new in a couple of years. I really should get back into it.
Kirk
Ever work in wax?
CelticGent
yeah, he was a car wash attendant.
Off. Jack Batemaster
I have no clue what those are on your website. And who the fuck is Jim Fawkes?
Nepenthes
They are mostly comic characters created by Vaughn Bode back in the 60s and 70s. Some of his strips are here.

A couple of the pieces were sculpted by people other then me, one of which was Jim Fawkes. He was a popular sculptor a number of years ago.
Off. Jack Batemaster
What's resin? I thought it was something you scape out of a pipe.
