If you can get comedy central, check out the new South Park tonight. Total anime spoof! Too damn funny!

NINJA SCROLL
Phuck YEAH, Ninja Scroll!
Here's another:
Urotsikodoji: Legend of the OverfiendAn ultra-violent, Hentai (read: Porn) Anime, but a classic nonetheless.
Another interesting one is called
Colorful. It's classified as Ecchi Anime (parody, sexually suggestive themes) and is a 16-part series of 5-to-10 minute episodes. Really bizarre stuff. Get bent and watch a few episodes. Then ask youreslf, "What the fuck did I just watch?"

The new Ghost in the Shell has been released! It's a 26 episode TV series?! I'm kinda disapointed that it's not a feature film, but oh well. For a TV series, it kicks ass so far. The show starts off just before the events in the old movie. Should be interesting to see where it goes.

Hack//Sign is a decent anime series and is on my Top-Ten list. I haven't watched it in a while, but the story was decent from what I can remember. The preceding shorts that come with the PS2 games are also interesting. If you'd like a summary though, here’s a TV-Guide style plot summary for you. A young man becomes unable to log out of an online game, leading him and others to question rumors that the game is something more then it seems; and the young man to question his own existence.
Serial Experiments: Lain remains on the top of the list followed by Narruto and then Street Fighter. I have an extensive list of anime, as I like almost all of it, so I I'll make a brief roll-call excluding those already mentioned.
Last Exile; Vandread; Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi; Kino's Journey; Ghost in the Shell:SOE and feature film; Princess Mononoke; Outlaw Star; Trigun; Cowboy Bebop; Ninja Scroll feature film; Witch Hunter Robin; Rurouni Kenshin(TV and Films--the features are indeed more captivating).
I’ll end the list their, but I like many others and usually watch the ones that suit my mood when I get home from work.
I have not yet watched Neon Genesis, but a friend of mine has it and will let me borrow it when he comes back in a few months.

indeed!
although, back to the topic of evangelion, that was one of the only instances where i wasn't utterly disappointed and put off by the dub. lain too, come to think of it. same company handling the two i believe.
i used to talk about evangelion with one of my philosophy professors who was from japan. she told me it was such a huge phenomenon there that they even taught courses revolving around the series in universities and regularly held conferences and talks. my brother has a japanese newsweek with eva as the cover story... actually, he's a bit of an eva freak. has most of the walls and shelves in his room covered and spilling over with eva memorabilia. posters, action figures, statues, a framed puzzle, calendars, plush toys, etc.
eva and lain are two of my fave series. i also dug urotsukidoji. ninja scroll, ghost in the shell, akira, etc etc etc... i'm also a fan of the likes of hayazaki's work...
seen fist of the north star? now that's some funny over the top xit. and i even have a place in my liking for xit like vampire princess miyu, et al.

My favorite Cheech Wizard was the one when his assistant hired the Oriental assassin to to kill the Cheech Wizard.
This huge kung fu expert is chopping through trees on his way to cut down the Cheech Wizard,...... then he jumps in the air with a karate yell, The Cheech Wizard spins around, and blows the kung fu guy apart with a sawed off shot gun.
The last panel had The Cheech Wizard standing over this shredded, smoking corpse, with the caption, "Welcome To Da West Gooko".
Vaughn Bode was great.

They are mostly comic characters created by Vaughn Bode back in the 60s and 70s. Some of his strips are
here.A couple of the pieces were sculpted by people other then me, one of which was Jim Fawkes. He was a popular sculptor a number of years ago.
