It has come to my attention that Sixela will be visiting California soon. Of course, I couldn't let the opportunity pass to wrangle a drink with him while he's here.

The Invasion will take place in Mountain View on the evening of Fri. Feb. 6. Are there any Californians out there who would like to join us?

I swear I'll keep my geeking out to a bare minimum. I lose half of my useful knowledge after only a pint or two anyway.
Sponge Bob
Yeah, but it's the useless knowledge that's the most interesting anyway.

For instance: What is North America's only native marsupial?

I'm going to let you guess...

Either that or tell me to fuck off for being such a geek.

Either way I'm going to tell you soon.

Unless someone gets it right before then.

Then I'll just have a drink to celebrate.

Aww. Who am I kidding, I'm going to have a drink anyway.
Raindog
Roadkill, next question

laugher.gif Good answer.

I'll just play dead until Sponge Bob tells us the answer.

You guys are good.

How many fingers am I holding up?
Sponge Bob
My guess is the longest one.

I'm not worried.

Check out their cool National Anthem:

Sponge Bob
Damn Crosby, I've heard people practice scales with more passion.

It makes our own anthem seem far less sucky.

Thanks for that.
Crosby
My cat still hasn't come out from under the couch.
Sponge Bob
Cats are very sensitive.

You need to spend more time with your pussy.
Sponge Bob
Damn this absinthe has gotten good all of a sudden.

I didn't understand why it was bad, now I don't know how it got good.
I guess I'm just confused.

BTW, Did I mention that right now I'm drunker than Cooter Brown?

.
.
.
Yeah, I didn't think so.
Louched Liver
Didn't have to.

The Possum

Mmmm, veal!

Here, in Pennsyl-Tucky, we eat 'em for breakfast.

The real Bump Ferret's tummy's growling at that
appeteaser.
Sponge Bob
Aww.. Shit

Don't think I'll do that again.

SB - We've all been drunk once, but it's what we take away from that experience that separates us from pedestrians.

I, for one, will never get drunk again.

I'm still in limbo about my work schedule and I'm trying to find a Sixela to American dictionary.
greeneyes
Xu-Xu will translate.

Sixers: This eventuality leads us, in brief, to a single, inevitable conclusion [1].

[1] This being said under the assumption that all other possible conclusions, having been tested and tried, result in alternate explanations lacking in brevity, parsimony or some combination thereof.

I recently sent some underpants to Brussels. Coincidence? I don't think so.

That was only a feeble attempt at geekiness -- let me demonstrate karate.gif

[I love that emoticon -- this is just a pretext to use it]

You ignored the current theory that supposes the marsupials actually originated in what is now North America (and that they remained located there until the Early Cretaceous).

My real self¹ is just as daft as my online persona, engages in just the same banter, but at least he's not carrying a dictionary around with him, which means *you* won't need one either.

As I'm not a native English speaker, I can barely manage a few grunts in English in real life -- I need a dictionary just like Dumbo needs his feather. Which, I suppose, makes the incessant banter even more irritating, but my current set of friends know a swift kick on the shins can solve many problems.

¹Yes, he just crossed that "arrongant prick" line by referring to himself in the third person.

Let's just say we don't play the anthem very often (and one of our ministers reminded the public that public playings of recorded versions of the anthem aren't free of rights unless the band's been dead for quite a while, just to make sure that everyone Gets It).

Anthem lyrics have become the pinnacle of stupidity in most countries (unless 19th century rethoric still appeals to you, that is). Most Belgians know the lyrics as "pom pom pom pom pooom, pom pom pom pom pooom pom pompompom,...".

But at least Belgium is a fairly recent creation and can point out they copycatted their constitution and the silly anthem from other countries -- most notably France and yes, the United States DG.gif .

Well, to be fair, we got the good deal, as the US was mainly used to base the constitution on, not the anthem.

Touché (but I dare you to find that accent on your keyboard. Na!).

Two points, though:
1. Old sixela footnote style. Very passé.
2. No "forthwith", nor "notwithstanding", not "hence". Just so slightly of character.
3. I never said that, so I don't want underpants -- at least not in addition to the ones I already have in my posession.
4. You meant:

¹This being said under the assumption that all other possible conclusions, having been tested and tried, result in alternate explanations lacking in verbosity, convolutedness or some combination thereof.

To quote Treebeard:
"Entish is a lovely language, but it takes a long time to say anything in it, because we do not say anything in it, unless it is worth taking a very long time to say."
