EVERYONE has told me to read it. Soon as I finish Dark Tower #5, I'll likely pick it up.

Yea, what SpongeBob said.
Entertaining quick read, kinda like a Bond film.
I also read Angels & Demons (same author) right before DaVinci Cade and enjoyed that one more.

Agreed, I kept referencing a photo of it while reading.
His other book, Angels & Demons, has some interesting connections between Roman architecture and the Illuminati.

Back to DaVinci Code,
I've always been intrigued by the theory of the Holy Grail being a blood line from Christ and Mary and not the cup from the last supper. Making Christ a mere mortal and the Church nothing but a huge cult with no foundation, um, which I think it is anyway.

That in itself was interesting... and well... I think the females on this board would be VERY intrigued by the thoughts put forward in the book!
It's a mans world. (?)

Real Live Women would be interested!
And another part of the grail/blood line theory, Mary Magdalene being the true prophet of Jesus and the one that should form the new church, not Paul and the guys.
Not to mention the books not in the Bible about Jesus's years with Mary, and books by him and Mary that were never included in the compilation (i.e. Bible). Interesting stuff, more so if true, and what a different church and world it would be if Mary was the founder.
So, are we startin' a Religious Shit Hole?
