I write in British English -- which makes for slightly surreal sentences when I have to write technical mails that use literals derived from American English.

For me, a TrueColor visual in X11R6 has true colours.

I'm with 6 on this one. I generally use British spellings out of habit. The American variants usually look wrong to me.

Most of them date to the 19th Century and prevailing impulses toward rationalism. Noah Webster and some other lexicographers took it upon themselves to 'improve' the English language for a new continent. Pretty silly if you ask me.

I spent about a month corresponding with a Brit fairly regularly. After a week, I found myself adding extraneous U's, exchanging Z's for S's, and referring to women as "birds."

Adding extra letters ...... Sounds kinda like Spuck ....

Just be carefull which brand you use, you don't want toxic fumes from the fire.

Wouldn't work as a molotov cocktail. At least not without some redesign of the upper part.

An oil lamp (which works in essentially the same way) is not that good a Molotov cocktail (it takes too much to knock one over in exactly the right way).

Mhhh...essential oilš lamp?
