Where is Jean-Pierre going?
My name is Jean-Pierre Dubois. I was born just outside of Paris, November 22nd 1869. I’m celebrating my 19th birthday today in a most inglorious manner. It’s 6:30pm and I’m at a café enjoying a glass of Absinthe as I usually do at this time. I recently finished my course at Charles Gleyre art school, but I’m afraid that my interests have dramatically changed course. Besides, around me all the talk lately is of this Van Gogh and Toulouse, Toulouse, Toulouse. I suppose if I kept with the people that he does, I’d have a bit of a reputation as well. No matter.
As I sip my Absinthe, I read my copy of The Times that I brought along, although it’s a month old. I had it sent to me by my good friend, John… ah well… old news is …
Alors!!! Qu'est ce que c'est??? Un fou…
Hmmmm…
Ce montant d'argent est bon.
I have to go… it’s not just the money… this is something serious!

Here is the new wacky riddle...
What am I describing?
It's early this morning, the sounds drift through the area, echoing down every dark way and lifting to reach every window. It's sort of funny, though the humor of it rests solely with us. The 20's... what a wonderful time to be alive. Sometimes I ask myself where I'll be in 30 years.
This is a reference to STYX playing loudly at 4:00am in the hood at LF03. The 20's and 50's refer to 1928 and 1958 from Paradise Theater.
Today I will embark on my journey... I only wish I knew how long it will take me to get there, though I've got plenty of time. I meet the old man at the shore. A measly ha'penny will get me there, what a steal, I think to myself!
The old man is the old man of the river or Charon as he waits at the river STYX. A ha'penny is a half penny... again a reference to Paradise Theater as is the mention of plenty of time. "Too much time..."
As we start off the rhythmic movement of the water puts me into a light sleep. Dreams are where the thoughts of the living and the dead meet.
Another reference to the river STYX as being in between the living and dead.
Within a short time, I reach the outer bank and step onto the pier... it doesn't take me long to find my friend waiting among the crowds. "Denny" I yell out! He waves and I go to meet him and his lovely wife Susan. He tells me that we only have about 30 minutes before the show begins. As we start walking he tells me how much younger I look than when he saw me last... I shrug and tell him it must be the weather.
Denny is Dennis DeYoung of STYX and Susan is Suzanne DeYoung, his wife for which he wrote "Lady".
Within moments I see the massive silhouette of the theater in the background... my anticipation rises! I always loved coming here!!! As we approach, I notice that no one is waiting. In fact, no one is here at all. It's closed. I turn to mention this to Denny but he's not around either. Then, from across the street I hear him yell, "David, over here! The movie is about to start!" I turn and look...
Again the Paradise Theater, as it shows on the album cover open in 1928 and closed in 1958... The story here is that 'David' who is dead in 1928 gets another chance at life in 1958 after crossing back over the river STYX but now it's the future and everything has changed.

You go Lamby!
And now that BaaBaa is working for the
man, you can send him email like this through hotmail, or whatever else that will allow you to edit font colors and no one but him will be able to see what you're writing!!!
Plus, it may get him a little excited to have to discreetly 'decode' your message.
Le Gimp

I would still be rather discrete, since the filters would probably ignore font colors and just filter the text any way.
However, it does help in preventing nosey folks from viewing your email.

met Digit for lunch yesterday.
my prize pertained to the question I answered....very cool.
caught up w/ life type stuff......rather overdue, i must say.
proceeded to bore him with endless religious crap (well, at least it pertained to his question & my prize...usually i just bore him with completely
random crap.)
if Digit can handle listening to me ramble on passionately about things that i only know a little about (sound familiar?) i think we should make it at least a monthly outing. (no, not THAT kind of outing, dipshits.)
anywho, thanks a bunch Digit, it's ALWAYS a pleasure, old chap!!
