I was talking with Aqua about making a hi-rez version of the "spoon logo" for the official T-shirt of Louche Fest 2004. He said he's up to making the version for us for the Cafe Press store, what do you all think?
I think it would look cool.

I think every fest should have shirts.
However, as far as Cafe Press goes, have you ever seen a shirt from them? Is it just an iron on? Or is it actually a screen press?
Plus, the shirts are usually expensive....that's how they make $$. If you get a white t-shirt for $2 and iron on a design (about $2), that's it's worth. But, Cafe Press sells them for $14...or something like that.

We got t-shirts from Cafe Press for LF03, and I had no qualms with the quality or the price. I'm not expert enough to tell the difference between a screen print and an iron-on, but they looked decent enough, the color has held up well enough, and since we ordered a bunch in bulk, the price was relatively low.
It'll always be cheaper if you do everything yourself, but for the sake of convenience (and the possibility of getting your logo printed on thong undies) I think they are worth it. They also made the Official 'Start Your Day Like Mike' Eye-Opener Coffee Mugs, which have served me well.

The quality wasn't bad at all... and I think our cost was around $10/shirt.
I've only washed mine once or twice, so I can't really comment on the durablitiy.
Cafepress is easy, so we used it. Anyone else that want's to invest the time may do so... as long as we get to vote on the final, official, design.

How about we change the "Louched Lounge in the spoon to "Louche Fest '04"
And on the back below the collar:
"PTFA!"
and underneath in small black lettering stretched across: www.louchedlounge.com
What do you think?
It was either that or "O-pie free since 2003"
Come on, let's do this

"PAY THE F--- ATTENTION!!!"

"FEEL THIS CAT ASS!!"

I don't suppose they offer a girly shirt with a lower neck though? I look like I'm smuggling something when I wear a crewneck.

Feb 15 2004, 09:33 PM
Yea, they do offer girlie shirts...
Also, if you do make the shirts, please post the link to the cafe so that everyone on the forum has a chance to purchase one.
Or if it's a "sorry you can't have a shirt if you weren't there" type of deal, have a shirt with just the old spoon logo and the .com...

Crosby,
You need a lunch box like my old one. I had an excellent steel lunchbox with the metric system on it. Welcome to the 70s.
Not that you give a shit about the metric system, but it was one heavy-duty lunchbox. You could put bricks in it and use it to hit Kanadians.
Crosby
Feb 16 2004, 11:45 AM
I like the metric system.
Justin
Feb 16 2004, 11:50 AM
But would you like it more if it was on a nice sturdy heavy lunchbox you could use to bust "low-down, job-stealin', good-fer-nothin" Kanadians? You have mentioned things somewhat similar to that in the past. You could even use the handy lunchbox edge metric ruler to measure the lacerations and contusions. Talk about convenient!

Unless anyone has any objections, let's run with the big spoon logo on the front
And on the back, have a big black PTFA! with the lounge url in smaller letters across the bottom.
What do you think Aqua?

I'm seconding Abby on this: please have a shirt with a lower neck (v-neck if possible) for your female attendees.
I'd also prefer black if possible.
Otherwise, looks great!
(I guess if worse comes to worse, I can always pull out the scissors & punk up the shirt myself)

The new avatar reminds me a little of David Bowie (but I know it isn't).
We ought to have some shirts for the lounge, we could raise money for future fests with them.

1)Plenty of time, chill a bit.
2)There is no black, unless shit's
changed.
3)The quality is good.
4)The order was in bulk because it was
shipped here after everyone ordered
through me. And bulk means 15+ OF
THE SAME ITEM. NO MIXING TO GET
THE DISCOUNT.And if we do this again, I
will not be generous and let people order
1 of something, then ask for 2.
Man, shit was fucked up when people
paid for what they thought they
ordered, as opposed to what they
did order.
5)Pockets?
Um, no. Stupid looking.
